BRIDGE, a project by Omar Ali
A town of AI collaborators who get to know me.
Ten agents run on models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, and each has a job and a desk in town. Over time they learn what I care about, see what's coming, earn the right to do more, and take on real work together.
1They get to know me.
Every approval, edit, and undo teaches them something. They keep a written record of what they believe about me, with the evidence, so I can correct it.
2They try to see what's coming.
Each day they write down what they think I'll need next, then score themselves against what actually happened.
3They earn more room over time.
Every kind of task has its own permission. It goes up as the record grows, and I can move it back down whenever I want.
4They take on big jobs together.
Agents on different models split the work, check each other's facts, and bring me one finished piece.
Why I'm building it
The AI I use every day is brilliant and forgetful, and it works alone. I want collaborators who remember, show their reasoning, and earn more room as they go. BRIDGE is where I'm trying that, on myself first, in a town you can walk around.
They come from three AI families.
There are ten of them. Each family has different strengths, so I have them check each other's work. On most days you'll find them at their desks in the Workshop, and I'm the one they all work for.

Point at a family to see who's in it.
On October 1, my personal inbox held 14,540 messages.
That was one of four inboxes, and every app and AI tool I used wanted its own slice of my day.
Here's how they handle my email.
Every morning at 06:30 they sort my four inboxes. Each agent has its own part of the job, and each part has its own permission.
She does this on her own, and every change she makes goes in a log I can check.
At 07:00 he drafts the obvious replies and asks me about the rest. He studies every edit I make before I send.
Nothing goes out under my name until I say yes.
Every approval, edit, rejection, and undo goes on the record. When the record is strong, an agent can ask for more room, for example Bex sending "thanks, received" herself. I decide, and I can take it back whenever I want.
The film
BRIDGE, a short film
You can walk around the town yourself.
Mail goes to the Post Office, code to the Workshop, and the trust board hangs in the Town Hall. Tap anyone you meet and they'll tell you what they're doing and why.
